Looking good so far but not keen on the effect you have on the kids.
I presume you are going to blend their hair better at a later stage?

The two big kids looks good... but there is something with the little girls left side of the face that looks odd right now.

Can you be more specific?
The original pic of the smaller girl is of a worse resolution than the couple. Even tho I ran some intensive improvements on the small girl, perhaps I should can her?

I think I should tone down the screened glowing edges overlay layer. I think that's what's causing the weird hair line.

wow dude, dont go so crazy with the levels :P The kids will need a little sharpening detail at this point.
These kinds of filters will pick up on every detail and with all the shadow and skin tones on the young girls face you may want to lessen that detail with your adjustment layer where you need to.

not levels adjustment layer - contrast instead
Anyway, I guess ur right when you say every small detail (pixelation) is picked up! LOL

It looks like her skintone change to a darker tone in a very "hard" way and not so smooth as on the other children.
