I was hoping to keep the balance of "good guys" on the front and "bad guys" on the back. Vision was always a "good guy" (at least since his birth at Avengers Tower).

I don't think it's a ridiculous idea, I think it just goes against my good guy/bad guy theme.
Even though Vision was part of Ultron's plans, he never fought alongside Ultron. I think that the later marketing materials implied his alliance with the Avengers, so I don't think it's giving anything away.
I'm also kind of making this cover with the idea that the person seeing it has already seen the film.
