Hi Brad nice to see some new stuff from you, on the silver ones do you think the text at the bottom might make those not in the know think they are actually 'Best Picture' winners instead of just nominees?

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Hey ct!

I though of that too when I was making them, but decided not to change it because the winners set didn't say 'winner' on it. I could add 'winner' and 'nominee' to all of them, but I have yet to decide if it is worth it to update 50 ish covers and re-upload them all on three sites.

Thoughts?

Thanks JR!

I did like There Will Be Blood, but it isn't a movie I would by. I like just about all of the nominees each year, but I only end up buying some of them.

Thanks sauron!

I know, it is crazy that it is already that old... And I thought Cameron would have the sequels out quick after the first one! Guess not!

Yeah... updating the original set would seem a daunting task, I was thinking more of just noting on the new set that they were only nominees.

I did do one thing different on the fronts of the two is the tag under the poster. On all the winner covers it lists the number of wins they got. On the nominees covers it lists the number of nominations they got.

Part of me still thinks that the gold for winners and silver for nominees (kind of like medals) is a pretty good distinguishing factor. I figured that someone who might be interested in printing any of these covers would likely print multiple to have them as a collection. If so, they would likely know the difference between the two sets. I also stated it in the comments section of all of the covers.

With that being said, I am still going to see if there is something I can do that would fix the issue without altering the design too much.

OK bud, I'm sure your right and in most cases it will not even be an issue, just thought I'd mention it before you had too many done, you know--just in case you had not considered it.

:)

Hey all,

Just wanted to show off a couple of pictures... Got my cover for Apollo 13 made into a poster, then got it signed by Bill Paxton today at our local comic expo! Was really cool! He talked about the movie, and what it was like to film in zero gravity!

Now all I need is Tom Hanks and Kevin Bacon, they will surely come next year! :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

That's awesome, Ford! A custom poster of your own design autographed by one of the film's stars? I don't think it gets much cooler than that!!
