Not to toot my own horn too much (I tend to do that a lot), but the majority of the artwork and keyart that are on these covers (especially ones with extremely limited resources on the internet) have been heavily manipulated and altered in order for them to have the quality I require for my covers.
I think a lot of people assume that I just found the artwork and just slapped it on my template (which in some cases, this is true), but most of the time I have to make the keyarts myself with what limited imagery I have available. All of the Sabrina TV show keyarts are custom, as well as the Hulk, Captain America, Vampirella, Justice League of America, Big Guy and Rusty, and Spider-Man 1977 artwork. Others (like Ultraforce, WildCATs, FF '67, and Wolverine Animé) require extracting the background (a sometimes painstaking task) and replacing it with something a bit more "energetic," while others (like Dick Tracy or Batman: Year One) need more subtle changes to the original resource so that the placement of the elements fit within my template "window." Just thought I'd mention that, since the amount of time it takes to bring these covers to fruition can often go overlooked and unappreciated by casual visitors to this thread.Darksaber wrote:QUOTE (Darksaber @ Jul 14 2011, 08:51 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>A massive thank you to you Kernie, and well done again![]()
You're quite welcome, and a big thanks to everyone who's taken the time to comment in this thread. I've said it a million times, but the response and feedback from members is what keeps me motivated to continue this collection. I truly appreciate when someone takes a moment to comment, I don't think I can stress how important that is to my ambition and I really value the people who continually offer their input.
I realize that for many members, the most recent uploads will likely fulfill everything on their "wish lists," but I hope that they continue to stop in and comment in this thread even after they've gotten all of the covers that they were hoping for. I still have a number of comic-related items on my to-do list (including next year's crop of superhero films), and I can only hope that members still have interest in what I'm doing, even if they no longer require a specific cover for their shelf.
I guess what I'm trying to say is thanks to all the members for their continued support!![]()

The Comic Book Collection by Kernie
I still have lot of interest in your collection. But yeah what you just upload finishes my wish wish list with a few exceptions but I already got more than one miracle from you and I'm more than satisfied with the results and hard work.
I don't just like your comic collection either you do amazing covers in general, I'm actually looking into Community Season 1, just because of your covers. There's been more than one thing I've downloaded from you that wasn't from the comic collection such as gargoyles and silver hawks. I look forward to your future creations and hope you keep enjoying this great hobby, cause your dam good at it.
Also hi-res version of new spidey photos

Wow, what can I say that hasn't already been said. 31 new covers is like christmas. Amazingly brilliant as always - although the calibre of a couple of those films I remember from the 70's is erm well
Held my breath for a second thinking the Tick volume 3 might be there but maybe next time.
Your collection is truly comprehensive Kernie and I always love seeing new ones, just got Walking Dead and the Maxx so getting your covers for them now. Looking forward to watching them this weekend.
Big Guy and Dick Tracy cartoons I had never heard of but look fun so will have to try and find them over here.
Thanks again and keep up the great work, it is really appreciated over here. Stunning covers.
