Kernie wrote:QUOTE (Kernie @ Jul 4 2015, 11:32 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>- Added a critic quote (much harder to find a glowing quote for this film than it was for the first movie)
You aren't exaggerating. It seems like a lot of reluctant praise and back-handed compliments, huh?
Here a few other decent ones I could find, if they're of any help:
"Epic in every sense of the word." Peter Travers, Rolling Stone
"One kinetic thrill after another." Richard Roeper, Chicago Sun-Times
"Good old-fashioned big-screen entertainment." Richard Roeper, Chicago Sun-Times
"A revelatory piece of 3-D entertainment." John Anderson, Wall Street Journal
(They're applicable to your work on this cover, as well.)

Wow wow wow all the work you have put into it is amazing! I didn't realise the debris was all done in 3D!
Love the additions of the ultron drones.

Much better without the Helicarrier, it was a bit of a spoiler anyhow
Nice breakdown of what you have done, always fascinating, it's hard to believe that some of the character images are from sideshow collectables, the detail in those figures is amazing
You've made really good use of them, I doubt many would realise

Thanks, Nightrider, Bunny Dojo, sauron, and Darksaber for the feedback!
Update...
- Changed the critic quote (thanks Bunny Dojo for the suggestions!)
- Added "rain of fire" in the background (some flaming embers with smoke trails) to suggest more chaos going on around the heroes
- Worked on Thor's lightning by adding a more defined "core" to the lightning bolt
- Removed crack in Cap's shield (since the shield doesn't actually get damaged in the film as the trailers suggest)
- Tweaked Maria Hill a bit to look slightly less photoshopped
- Added some small lens flares to add some pop in certain areas
- Added some shadows and glows to help separate the characters from each other
I wish there was a bit more action going on, but the poses that were available and that worked with this layout left most of the characters just sort of standing and looking around. But I'm much happier with this cover than I was a few months back. Thanks to everyone for their help and support.
Thoughts?

Impressively better each time Kernie, and I for one enjoy reading your process and that you bring our attention to all the 'small' details you add.
I'm not the most observant person in the world and truthfully if you didn't point them out I probably wouldn't pick them up, BUT I would be blown away by the work, I might not 'see' how exactly it's improved but I would know it had, and I would love it.
This will look great on my shelf next to The Avengers

Your joking right? Get any more on there and you're going to have to make the extended, director's cut boxset!![]()
I have an idea though, if you can find an image of Ulton's back you could have him in the foreground giving the Avengers the finger![]()
Only joking mate, the front looks great as is

I suppose I should clarify. I wish the poses of the characters were more dynamic, suggesting that there is more action going on in the scene. Too many upright, standing poses for my liking... but, like I said, full-body resources were less abundant this time around.
Hoping to wrap up the front soon and move on to the spine and back.

Small update...
- Added parts of destroyed Ultron drones in the rubble. Mostly heads, but some hands and arms as well.
- Added a little wispy-smoke effect to Quicksilver's shoulders and left arm, to tie into his speed effect from the film
Besides a few little tweaks here and there, I would say that the front is nearly complete. Would you agree?
Thanks for all the input and support.

Oh, and even though he doesn't appear in this film, I added a fun little Easter Egg near Thor's boot... why not?
