I think I'm in. finally found a pre 2000 release that inspired me, AND without a custom already made, which is weird since it's a pretty popular movie.

B is there going to be somewhere the judges can discuss the covers?

Nope - that wouldn't be fair. The judging has to be independant, not a group decision winking.gif

As discussed with the artists, this is how the judging will be done.

Each judge will judge each cover based on the following:

1. (Marks out of 25) How original is the work? Does it resemble any custom or retail covers already made?
2. (Marks out of 25) Quality of design. How much thought has been put into the layout?
3. (Marks out of 25) Quality of images. Are the images of high quality? Some images are hard to get hold of for older images, but have they tried to compensate this with using effects?
4. (Marks out of 25) Movie 'feel' captured? Have they captured the feel for the movie?

Then, they will submit to me, a total out of 100 for each cover. The 3 covers with the total highest scores from all the judges will be the winners.

I usually just ignore those 8824.gif

or remind them of the jedi teachings of patience.
My covers may only be viewed on well calibrated screens and printed on well calibrated printers.
