They said proto goblin's not in the spidey reboot the other day and Joe Gordon Levitt is playing Falcone's son, that was on /film yesterday, they broke Bane and Selina Kyle (no mention of catwoman). Bane is a master tactician and a physical match for Batman. Think about the three film arc, the first was to test his mettle and sanity, the second was to test his cunning and resolve, the third will be to put him to the full test of strength and power, physically and mentally. I think the Spidey reboot has no where to go but up, the only one of the original three that holds up, to me, is the second one. I think's it's a great time to be a fan and people should be excited and not so damn picky, don't get so attached to things, let them evolve and enjoy them.
Hadn't heard that Levitt was playing Falcone's son, but that could make sense... wasn't Falcone's son the Holiday killer from "The Long Halloween," if I recall correctly (it's been years since I've read it and it was kind of convoluted when they did finally reveal the killer's identity).
Yeah, I am kind of wondering why they keep referring to Hathaway as playing Selina Kyle, but not necessarily saying "Catwoman." It would be such a tease to give us her alter-ego and not see her in some skin-tight leather... kind of like using the character Clark Kent and not giving us Superman (oh wait... Smallville does that!).
Oh, and I hadn't realized that "Proto-Goblin" was a real Spidey character (I was aware of Green, Hobgoblin, and Demogoblin, but not Proto). To me it sounded like some sort of "prototype Goblin" as if we'd see some scientist-type characters working on a test glider and Khan was playing the dude testing it. I guess I don't know as much as I thought about comics... or is Proto-Goblin such a D-list villain that it's okay that I hadn't heard of him before?

It's funny you said that, yeah, proto-goblin was bright red with long blonde hair. I never read the long halloween but yeah, that's what it said on /film, it said that Joe GL was playing that character maybe they are going to have Bats trying to solve a string of murders or maybe he hires Bane to go after Bats since Bats took down his dad, I'm sure Selina Kyle will catwoman it up at some point. I think for spidey they are going to go with Lizard and maybe in the second movie get into the goblin stuff, but I hope they go scary goblin and not power ranger goblin when they do. You should google proto goblin and stay tuned to /film they always have casting updates and stuff for all the upcoming superhero movies. It's a great sight, they can get a bit up their asses sometimes but what critics can't?
Finally... at long last... I've made covers for all 5 seasons of the 1990's "Spider-Man: The Animated Series!"
I originally held off from making these, because I was hoping Disney would release the series on DVD shortly after finishing up the 90's X-Men DVDs, but I guess they're (hopefully) waiting for the Spidey reboot to hit theaters (stupid cross-promotional marketing decisions). In the never-ending wait for Disney to realize a cash-cow when they have one, I decided to move ahead with these using the artwork from the UK DVD's, which RRJR84 was gracious enough to provide me. I tried to improve the coloring on the artwork, as I really hated some of the colors that Clearvision (the UK distributor) used on the characters.
In case anyone's wondering, I replaced the previous artwork for Volume 1 & 2 in the gallery with the new Season 1 & 2 artwork below. I also switched things back to seasons, rather than volumes, which is what I was anticipating Disney would do when releasing the show. I may update these with the R1 artwork if and when Disney ever releases the show (and hopefully brings back David Nakayama to do the keyart), or will make the R1 art versions as separate variant covers... we'll have to wait and see how these eventually get treated in R1 retail...
Okay, even rambling on and on... here's the 1990's Spider-Man... finally!!! My apologies for such a long wait for these, and thanks again to RRJR84 for your help with the scans!!
These should all be in the gallery shortly!!

And, in my search for artwork for the Spidey covers, I stumbled upon art that would work for the animated "The Mask" television series that was based on the Jim Carrey movie. There were 3 seasons of this show, but because of limited artwork and other resources, I decided to do a "Complete Series" set for this show. I still plan to do a cover for "Son of the Mask," but honestly... I can't even bear to look at some of the artwork for that terrible film at the moment... I'll get to it eventually...
