Something about Chris' head on vol.2 keyart looks a bit odd to me, is it the original from the poster or have you replaced it with a similar one?

It's the original from the poster. He's in a weird pose, leaning back and sticking out his pelvis. I used the Liquify filter to adjust it so it wasn't so drastic and to fill the same general space as he occupies on the Vol. 1 keyart. I didn't do anything to his head though, although it might look a bit more bizarre now that his pose isn't so extreme.

To be honest, I'm not in love with that pic of him. I hope something else becomes available closer to the BD/DVD release of the film.

Ah I see! Yeah I agree it's not the best picture but if it's the only thing out there at the moment not much can be done.

It's looks great so far though.

Nothing new so far, but if you're up for the challenge (and think it's a good idea ofc), you could try and morph it with this one

Just the hand, wire and headset ofc.

Stunning work as always. And Vol 2 is going to look epic too :) But I have to agree about the pose. I am sure better images will become available soon though.

Hey Kernie! I'm curious how you created the 3D SF box and screenshot boxes. I'm thinking of doing something sorta similar for a different project and was just wondering about your process.

While I like to keep some trade secrets to myself, I will give you a little bit of insight...

I used Adobe Illustrator to draw the different shapes of the boxes, then I used the Zaxwerks 3D Invigorator plug-in in After Effects (there is a PS version of the plug-in but I don't want to buy it twice) to import the shapes and extrude them. I export each shape from AE as a PNG and open it in PS. Then I apply various colors and textures to the shapes and do a decent amount of Photoshop adjustments until I end up with something I like.

That's the simplest explanation of my process. I'm sure there are other, faster, probably better ways to achieve the same effect, but this is the one that I am used to. You'll have to forgive me that I don't want to go into too much detail... if I give away all my secrets, nobody will need me anymore.

No I don't want you to give away all of your secrets!! Haha!

This is great! I've been googling different 3D methods and was just curious about your basic process. Thanks!! :jump:

Great work on part one of GoTG, awesome what you put together! :)

Great start for part two and I agree about waiting maybe something else comes available in the near future. ;)
Are the weapons the same he's using in both of the movies or are they different?
