Hey Merdec, kernie does take requests, so try not ask them if your looking for those covers just post a request in the forum and someone might get to them. That's the best I can offer you at the moment.

Gotta love brief compliments that are merely a seque into a request.

:( :( :(

Merdec, you PM me all the time with requests, and I still don't think you understand that I'm working on (or gathering resources for) all the things you're requesting. Please be patient and I'll get to them eventually...

For Cowboys & Aliens, I'm waiting for something besides the teaser poster artwork.

For the new Phantom series, I have some keyart, but I need to recreate the TT and just haven't gotten to it yet.

I'd like to spend some time with friends and family over the holidays, so those covers will have to wait a bit...

Sorry.

Merry Christmas! Here's your presents!! :D :D :D

Had some time today to throw together another comic-inspired cover: the 1980 "Flash Gordon!" DVD and Blu-ray versions should be available in the gallery shortly!!

And since I'm probably going to get asked this question: yes, I do plan to include the recent TV series and the various animated series and theatrical serials based on Flash Gordon. However, I haven't even begun searching for resources for any of them yet, so don't expect them soon. But I do hope to include them all eventually...

Anyway... enjoy the new cover! Enjoy the holidays! It's hard to believe that it was only a year ago that I started working on live-action comic covers!

Enjoy!! :D :D :D

More than one cover per day, Andrew! That alone is amazing!!

At my count, I've added 272 DVD/Blu-rays to this collection since this time last year. So I'm well short of having one per day... :( :(

But maybe I can make that my goal for 2011!! :D :D :D

(I really doubt it, though... I'm starting to run out of covers to add to the collection.)

Damn, I hadn't really though about it but your right, Marvel has been more faithful lately... now you got me wondering how they would have made the X-Men suits nowadays... I'm pretty anxious to see what they come up with for Spidey's suit as well, they can't use the old one no matter how good it is, but you can't have him looking like the 70s Spider-Man either...
As Kernie said earlier, Marvel has only had any creative control on the recent movies Iron Man, Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk and the upcoming Thor and Captain America. On all the other movies, their influence is limited to what the studio allows them to have.

The new Spider-man movie for instance is Sony all the way. We can hope that the director wants it to be more like the comic, suit-wise aswell, then there is a chance it might cool. Marvel has very little say in the matter.

Same goes for the upcoming prequel/reboot "X-men: First Class". That one is 100 % made and controlled by Fox, not Marvel, but if the director's vision is in accordance with what the fans would want, and if he'll win out in fight against the producers, we might see some different costumes this time.
