This has been a fantastic competition, and really showcases just how good the designers here are. The effort put into these covers is sublime, and the results are first class. Especially considering how average at best the resources available are. You all really turned these poor resources into beautiful covers. So congratulations to all and thank you to Speed for offering up the prize money and setting up this competition.

And a massive congratulation to Stampe on creating another master-piece. The detail, effort and skill you put into this cover is inspiring :)

Bravo all.

That was the hardest "unpaid" task I was ever given in my entire life! lol

First off, congrats Stampe! - I was once told that there is no such thing as a perfect cover. I can now say to that person that they were wrong, oh so wrong! :D

And lastly, it was great reading the comments from all the other judges, although I started reading them yesterday and just finished now. I tell you, Speed certainly had "a lot" to say about everyone's cover, wow! So did Baz! That was a lot of frigging reading! lol

Congratulations to everyone participating in this competition. Such vast dirrence in styles and layout. The love of design is really showcased very well! :award:

I for one, would like to add that judging this was extremely difficult for me. Especially with the many styles on display really made me think hard about how to actually score, while the comments was much easier to do.
A designer knows he has achieved perfection - not when there's nothing left to add - but when there's nothing left to take away

I don't know what to say lol. I'm glad i didn't get to see the entries before now. There's no way I would have dreamed of winning this. All entries are awesome to say the least.

I wanna thank Speedz0r for organizing this cool contest and be so generous with his time and money!
Let me also thank the judges, no not for giving me the win :D but for taking the time and effort to do this and in such detail. It was a pleasure to read it all.

I also want to thank Tim "the coloring God" Bunny Dojo for providing us with his brilliant template.

Thank you all

One of the most interesting threads I've ever read here. Not just because of the outstanding cover art, but also the detailed reviews. A lot worth seeing and reading. Truly great.

And of course congrats to stampe for winning the next Competition
I am really glad I did not have to vote because it would have been very difficult for me.

I'm a huge fan of Tony Scott's movies, but I never really liked True Romance. It's been years since last time watching it, but the great covers really make me want to take a another look. :thumb:
