Ok heres a cover i done a while ago and was well kinda pleased but then saw some coming out and decided to abstain. But here you go to judge.

Well i await in judgement.... 8 images upped and made sure they are all at least 800x600 so you can view them and judge them. Not wot i would like but with the help and guidance from the peers in here i hope to go forward and to better things! The 'new' proggies i have are .........photoshop CS2 and PSP9 pro.

Yup until now.....these covers were made with a proggie i got with my old scanner by Ulead called IPHOTO

SHOCKED.gif

Let me preface by saying any critique I provide my is based on my personal preferences and what made me sucessful as a cover artist, so take it for what it is worth thumb.gif

Now, You have a solid grasp on front covers. No doubt they are a super job on your part. My issues involve some technical aspects. For me the synopsis is too large and in some cases the font is too big. Id like to see more art and less text on back. In some cases, the text is hugging the edges of the cover to close. I wont comment on the billing and specs on some of your covers because I'm experienced with R1 covers only. Have you considered doing R1 versions for your friends out west?

In conclusion, I think you will get lots of recognition and your reputation will soar. With those adjustments suggested.

Thanks for the comments, i appreciate you taking the time to give me some pointers. The text for me was always a problem too big it takes over too small you cant read it when printed. This was a major pain, however i now have psp pro and photo cs2 which i am playing with and reading up on the tutorials here, so hopefully soon i will be able to produce covers that are well balanced over the front and back.

Once again thank you all for your comments.

Thank you, i really enjoyed making that cover everything just fell into place, i dont know if anyone noticed but the text has a hex shape seeing as the movie has stuff to do with bee's ....honeycombes winking.gif anyway thats why i went for that shape. But thank you for your comments it drives me on to do more covers.
