Venom, you really don't need to prove yourself, because your labels are amazing! I, like many others I'm sure have downloaded and used quite a few of your labels. I particularly liked your Serenity label (although I did modify it a little) and your Ultraviolet label - very clever how you put the title of the film along the blade of the sword! If you're not an Artist, then site admin should correct that lickety spit.
You, Alex69 (if s/he's still posting), Donger and Germ69 are probably the best label artists on this site.

Why does one have to be a cover designer to have residency or be recognised![]()
What's a good cover without a good label...........and whats a good label without a good cover?
I personally love to do labels only...........So can't I be a "Resident Label Designer"
Skallywag® wrote:QUOTE(Skallywag® @ Jul 4 2006, 01:49 PM)I think your labels are amongst the best I've seen ever, and far surpass the average poster rip + title and logo's you usually find.
However, personally I'd just like to see a cover before casting a vote on a residency spot, as I believe that a cover will demonstrate the true extents of a persons talent far better than a label.
A good cover with out a label is a replacement for bad retail work. A label advocates the making of illeagal copies or back ups of a DVD. Thats the differnece
Thanks Skally...........................What cover do you want :-) Give me a movie title..........Pendragon wrote:QUOTE(Pendragon @ Jul 4 2006, 01:57 PM)So how about it then?
Ok Pedragon..............Ready to make your list for "Label Santa"
Skallywag® wrote:QUOTE(Skallywag® @ Jul 4 2006, 02:44 PM)Not sure, what really impresses me with custom covers is when I can't see evidence of source imagery like posters and the artwork is highly creative, original and relevant to the movie. BTW i don't consider myself in that catagory yet, but I'm trying hard.
Perhaps an older title, something without too many other versions around.
Hope that gives you an idea.
lulubelle wrote:QUOTE(lulubelle @ Jul 4 2006, 01:53 PM)I agree...I deliberately don't make labels for my covers as it promotes piracy.
Not because I don't want to or can't make labels.
Lets see what you can do with a cover Ven0m, if they are half as good as your labels you should have no worries
thanks lulubelle..........peronally..............I think most retail prints on dvds are crappy.........
