I would have to disagree with Jolly Rogers opinion on the typography.

The typography is simple but elegant. It works here, as it doesn't draw the whole attention of the on-looker. Instead we look at the visual stunning effects of the tattoos and unique "mementos" if you will including the gun and Polaroids.

I would say that the opacity on the "find him and kill him" tattoo could be lowered just a bit, right now when I look at the title I am drawn to that instead. I think 5-8% would do the trick.

I also have one request Tim!

Is there anywhere you can incorporate this from the DVD Menus?

It might not go, but who knows, maybe you can throw your on spin on it?

To me, the typography needs a little something. Now, please don't get me wrong, Tim - I know that you're a lover of retail design, so I'm not gonna go there! :D
In this case, retail styling is not to blame. :) "Memento" is taken from the film's title card, and the faded text is all based on the guy's actual tattoos. Otherwise -- retail or not -- you'd never see me using fonts like Courier and Old English Text on a cover. :D I have to agree to not loving some of it, but this is a rare case where I'm trying to pay homage to the film as closely as possible (so, the "real" Polaroids, using the correct gun model, modifying a Jaguar photo to match his car from the movie exactly... and then getting rid of it :S :) ) I'll play around a little to see if I can add some more interest, though.

@Punisher34, there are a whole lot of elements from the LE I wanted to work in, but the Blu-ray doesn't have any of that good stuff and it isn't really directly related to the movie, so I've been going back and forth. It definitely gets another look. :) And I'll keep trying on the tattoo opacity, you'd be amazed at how much time I wasted before settling on the 22% it has now. :D

Maybe incorporate the most important tattoo of all?
"John G. Raped And Killed Your Wife."

Also, not too keen on the placement of the car license tattoo, or maybe it's not transparent enough.
I really like the design, and love the font you've chosen for the TT. Sorry JR :D

On to the back for sure! Tim, in my opinion it looks fantastic at the moment. Please keep the front as it is (without the car). I know you might have put alot of effort into trying to make it work but better to have tried than not tried at all :-) The car can be incorperated into the back of the cover somehow!? I have complete faith in you :-p, also try to keep the tattoo designs flowing through onto the back of the cover if you can and possibly as i think you suggested you might, re-think the tagline?

Oh and just briefly I agree with Pun, the fonts used at the moment are fine :-)

I have one more thing I want to try, but I'm otherwise tempted to use the word "done"...

This is a Bunny thing...........a strength of 'retail' design that cannot be topped :thumb:
All those little nuances that you include are easily missed by all, but the most trained eyes! :thumb:
