Hello Guys. :arms:

OK.........I admit it, my bad!..........Entering my own comp, that is very naughty! especially after all you good folks voted me the winner!!!
So, I have made the decision not to enter any future "kylumi competitions". I will be content to just sit back and take my pleasure from seeing all your entries instead.
But, hey, it's not all bad news. I am adding my winnners prize to this months contest so that we can have THREE winners instead of ONE.

Yes, 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes..........does that sound good?

1st Prize = Blu-Ray of choice.
2nd Prize = DVD of choice.
3rd Prize = 10 Blu-Ray cases.

We are asking you to design a wholly original DVD/Blu-Ray cover……
YOUR MISSION IF YOU DECIDE TO ACCEPT IT IS TO PRODUCE A COVER USING THE ABR PROVIDED BELOW WHICH MUST BE USED ON THE FRONT COVER OF YOUR DESIGN. Have you got what it takes?. Yes, of course you have, so come and join us in this Unique Cover Design Competition which is open to ALL-COMERS!
In addition this months theme can be anything you like [no film choice limits]. However, as previously stated, you must use the Hi-Rez ABR [brush] file that is available to you for download. This brush must be used on the front section of your design [you, may also use it on the back of your design too].

Please, download RAR file containing the ABR FILE.

There is an extended period of 28 days in which to complete your covers due to the Christmas Holidays.

Good Luck to everyone and most importantly MERRY CHRISTMAS!

The Rules are simple too……

1. The front of your cover must be produced using the ABR FILE AT ANY COVERAGE LEVEL, PLUS YOU MAY USE ANY MOVIE RELATED IMAGES INCLUDING POSTER ART.
2. You may use "still" images for the back part of your cover design.
3. You may use unrelated photographic imagery.
4. You may use original Titles/Title Treatments/Fonts etc.
5. You may use any tool, plug-in or method provided within your software.
6. You may use multiple-software.
7. You may use Vector Designs.
8. The title of your cover must be locatable at IMDB.
9. You may submit as many cover designs as you like.
10. There will be three prizes [Winner, 2nd place and 3rd place], [decided by a members poll].

You may not:

11. You may not use another artists work and/or artistic work which is searchable through the Internet. e.g. Deviant Art. etc.
12. You may not re-upload your covers after the competition. Admin will ensure your original entries are correctly placed for you.

Start Date: Monday, Noon GMT: December 21st 2009

Completion time: Sunday, Noon GMT: January 17th 2010

Submissions: Please send your completed designs to; [email protected]

Voting: Conducted by members poll.

As always good luck to everyone and may the best cover win!!!

Had to skip last months comps, but will join in again on this one. Good to see an extended deadline.

As usual, my participation depends on the number of entries submitted. I am the contingency plan :)

Gabo, you can convert the abr file to a png file with abrviewer, after which you can import it into photopaint (and even make a brush of it yourself).

It's explained in more detail here.

Good luck in the contest!
