(Again, not yelling at you Darksaber, I still love you and I honestly think you're one of the few people who I'm still even bothering to make these covers for, considering the dwindling download numbers and comments. If you stop looking forward to these, I think I'd lose one of my biggest (if not the biggest) fan of this collection! :D :D :D :D ).

Bless your little cotton socks. I'm always looking for more, but now your finding stuff I haven't heard of i.e. Super Friends: Season 1: Volume 1, which it getting released soon I thought I had all those, oh well. more the merrier

I didn't actually mean to use this comic book template, you already have your Live action Marvel template which I hope you continue with, just thought you could do the major DC films in sort of the same style.

Now I'll just run away and hide from those leprechauns oh and I'll shut up.

It's cool Tony, you'll be spared from the leprechauns this time... but I feel like I've moved beyond the Marvel template. It just doesn't thrill me that much anymore and I can do much better now that I've had more experience with cover making. Those were pretty much the first covers I made when I proved myself on this site, and while I guess they're okay and I'll probably still continue to add new Marvel movies to the collection, I'd rather revamp it or convert them all to this template (or something similar) if I was going to expand it to include DC titles...

Now you've got me thinking of the possibilities of expanding this set to include live action... darn it!! No, I must stand my ground... too big a can o' worms... must resist urge... no live action for now...

For now... :D :D :D :D

Let me say I have been watching this set from the beginning and it is amazing. The template is well thought out and flows very nicely. You really have done a masterful job. Congrats!

After some a$$ kissing, now onto some requests :)

Excuse me if this has been asked for before. I am running out of room for my DVD's! As much as I would love to use these, alas I cannot. So I am begging for you to convert the template into something that can be used with the 8,9,10,12 dvd cases.

For example: Batman Beyond - 8 discs in the series and one movie. A complete collection cover could be made for a 8-9 disc case. You could decide to include the movie or leave it separate.

This would be a dream come true for me! If you are interesed, I can put together the series disc numbers and template sizes for you.

Either way, I love this set. Keep up the good work.

Thanks weapon, I really appreciate the kind words!

Complete series sets have been something that I've been thinking about for a while, I just haven't gotten around to them yet for a few reasons:
1) I'm more motivated when I'm working on something that feels new to me, rather than a retread of a previous cover. So I've been more focused on adding new titles to the collection rather than going back and making variant versions.
2) I've been too lazy to do the math and figure out how many discs each series needs and then finding the appropriate size case and the template for that case.
3) Every other thing that pops up in my life that comes before cover making, unfortunately. :(

I've been especially considering series sets now that Warner Bros. has been releasing Batman: TAS, Superman: TAS, and Justice League in complete sets. So it is definitely something I'm open to and hope to get to at some point.

So, let's make a deal... you help me out with #2 above (figuring out the number of discs each set includes (excluding the movies as I'd prefer to keep them separate - just in case WB makes another spin-off movie that would require reworking the cover - although I doubt it) and providing me a link to the appropriate template in our Downloads section, and that will speed up the process a bit. I'll be much quicker about getting them done if I don't have to do as much thinking. :D :D :D

Sound like a fair trade? :D :D :D

Hmm that's good thinking, it might make more sense to make a complete collection cover, for some series rather than individual covers that you can't find enough artwork for. Yes it's very nice to have individual covers, but as you know Kernie finding the artwork is getting harder.

Sourcing Dvd cases these days is much simpler, the larger cases can be bought individually, so that's no hardship.

As you said it sorting out how many discs you would need for the case size.

But then again there are so many spine sizes, which do you go for as standard for the specific series
just looking at a couple of sites now both in the USA and UK

6 disc cases are anything between 14mm & 24mm(UK) and 14mm & 27mm (US)
7 disc cases (UK)none (US) 27mm
8 disc cases (UK)27mm (US)27mm
9 disc cases can't find any for either
10 disc cases (UK)32mm (US)33mm
12 disc cases (UK)39mm (US)30mm to 39mm
15 disc cases (US only) 43mm

These figures are approximates
1 - 6 Disc Case: 3240 X 2175 (170 Spine) 14mm
5 - 6 Disc Case: 3370 X 2175 (300 Spine) 25mm
7 - 8 Disc Case: 3395 X 2175 (325 Spine) 27mm
9 - 10 Disc Case: 3460 X 2175 (390 Spine) 33mm
11 - 12 Disc Case: 3520 X 2175 (450 Spine) 38mm

Case Templates 5-6_7-8_9-10_11-12_PSD_Case_Templates.rar

I can confirm those sizes from 2 different cover sites, whether they are the same on this site a Admin or Mod will have to confirm

Oh and these are

BLU-RAY

3120 (1490+140+1490) x 1748

3173 (1523=127+1523) x 1762

3212 (1521+170+1521) x 1762

3172 (1501+170+1501) x 1772

If your interested :thumb:

Thanks, DS!! Can anybody confirm if these are the proper dimensions? Doesn't the gallery reject certain covers of incorrect dimensions or does it make an exception for these larger-spine, less-standard cases? I want to be able to make these series sets quickly and with the least amount of back-and-forth with figuring out the correct proportions... :D :D :D

Thanks, DS!!

Here's Season 5 of the 1987 "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!" 5 more to go with this show, but I think I might hop over and do a cover for the 2007 TMNT movie since resources are so readily available for that one and it won't take long...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Season 5:

The Entire Collection: (97 DVD's, 13 Blu-rays)

Enjoy!

Splinter was somewhere on one of the layered PSD files that jpeg found for me. I'm really glad that I could include him because it kind of breaks up the monotony of the 4 turtles on every cover. It also means that I can use each turtle twice on the spines. I'll put Leo back on the spine for Season 6 and then hopefully, I can dig up another character for Season 10... so the spines will go something like this: four turtles, splinter, four turtles, another character. Should work out nicely.

I hope I won't run out of resources for the next five covers, but I think I can do different combinations of the turtle poses and different layouts and that should be enough to carry me through the rest of this series. The layered PSD's have been absolutely phenomenal and I should give another shout-out to jpeg and SFLA for finding them for me. It really provides me with the maximum amount of flexibility and I can arrange the turtles however I want them... I don't think I could have done these covers without that level of freedom. So, big thanks again to the MovieGrafix people!!! :D :D :D

Yes it was a nice find, I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find Shredder, or at least a different character.

And yes the guys over at MovieGrafix deserve a lot of thanks, without people like jpeg, SFLA and not forgetting Aalykke and the rest half your collection could never been made, they work there wonders, have the contacts to get the artwork, and with what the site has been through recently as well.

I hope they can find your other requests
