good news and bad news.

the bad news is, that my Trek Soho 1.0 can now be removed from the list, because some one was kind enough to remove it from my locked shack that only few people had keys too.
got good insurance so I will get everything back.

the good news is that I can add this to the list.

So far very pleased with it, though it wasn't the chair that was at the top my list.

That would be one of these.

but at a price of 600$+ (at least twice that in my country) it just didn't happen. :)

Hopefully there will be a bit more activity in this thread soon. ;)

Good news everyone.

Looks like Karma actually works.

I found my bike, that is me mum did.

It was parked about 50 meters from where I live, locked to a rail with a chain. It was clear that this bike was stolen for more then just a free ride down to the station, besides the new chain-lock there two crappy little plastic lights on it, which is a bit of a joke since I have Induction lights (greatest invention evur) on it. Also the saddle had been moved way down, apparently the thief was a midget.

Since it was locked to a rail I couldn't just take it with me right away, and the rozzers couldn't be bother with a small case like this and told me that I should figure it out myself (I luv our governments funding :chin: ) so I had to wait until today (found it last night) so I could go down to the office and ask the super for help. A bit reluctant, but I convinced him to go with me and get it fixed. For some reason he wouldn't just lend me a pair of bolt cutters :) . So now my good friend is safe from the evil thieving midget and locked in my shed with two locks.

Now here it gets a bit tricky. Technically the bike is no longer mine, but belongs to the insurance company. I called them up, told him about the situation and agreed that a guy would come and pick it up some time soon. He gave me option to let me keep the bike and just cancel the refund which is on the way, but I actually got a pretty good deal so I asked if we could just go a long as if nothing had happened. No problem, they would just have to pick up the bike of course. Besides the fact that everytime I called the insurance company I had to wait 5 minutes while listening to same 30 second muzak, before I could get a hold of person, I have fairly please with how they have dealt with the situation and the outcome I got. I have talked with humans with human minds, not humans with evil corporate robot minds cough **amazon** cough.

So hopefully soon I will receive my gift certificate for a new bike and you will see a new entry in this thread with a new picture of a shiny new bike. Right now I'm just enjoying the picture in my head of an angry little midget thief wondering where his bike is. :)

The date has finally come. After a year of waiting I could not wait any longer.

I can finally sing the song that I used to code into my Nokia 3310 Mono Music Maker back in the awesome years.

Not only Have I gone Blue, I have gone blue with style.

VERY VERY NICE!!!
You miserable Basterd, after all your crap, you finally pulled the trigger! And got the best pure standalone BD player out today. It's not the most fully featured standalone though, LG BD390 is top dog there. If it had built in wifi and ability to stream online content I'd be all over that Oppo. BTW, you sure this is region free? All indications is the BDA "forced" Oppo to region lock this player? I could be wrong of course.

pftt wifi... I'll enjoy my Anchor Bay VRS chip. :)

It's hardware hacked to be region free. All ready tested, works a charm.
