Label Of The Year 2008

Being a label only maker myself, I have always felt left out with the competitions on our site. So, I have decided to rectify that problem by opening up a survey/contest specifically for Labels! Click here for the LOTY 2008 survey page, there is also a link from the site's home page.

This survey will be similar to "Cover of the Year 2008" with one very distinct difference - items will be "self nominated". Each member will be able to submit 2 labels that they uploaded in the past year. In addition, you have an area to provide some design notes about the label. For instance, how much is poster art versus custom artwork? What about this label makes it great, in your opinion? In short, you can promote your labels as being worthy of the LOTY honour.

So, all you label designers out there, start looking through the gallery at what you uploaded in 2008 and find the best ones. And if you have quite a few that you are proud of, narrow down the list to just two

My selections are done but I might change one of them. There are a couple others that I like but I can't decide what ones I like best.

Just my opinion but I find it hard to judge them since the center hole is missing. The hole is THE major design problem when creating the label. I want the labels I download for use to be sans hole but if I am going to judge it on its design, I need to see the deficiency.

Case in point: [Specific case removed by Fubster to eliminate any bias during voting]

Maybe for next time the preview can be changed just for the competition.

BTW - I like that you are willing to give some love to the label designers.
