Do you want better incentive that be allowed to download the covers available here made by the best cover designers in the entire world?

Tying anything to downloads would be, IMO, a change to the principles of HRC. I think a lot of people "download" just because they want to see the custom work in all it's glory. And I think that is a good thing as well. Other times, there are "defects" or other issues with artwork that you cannot detect on the preview image. I'm not sure how the sites that work on a credit basis handle issues like that ("I downloaded this, then found out it was crap!"), but I am glad we don't have to deal with THAT issue. I like the community we have here, and don't want to implement policies that might change the feel of the community.

Now that I got THAT out of my system, how about this....
in the forums, we have a "Posts" counter, and a title that reflects how many posts you have made (although, I'm not sure how many posts it took to make "Font Queen" - you better flood for a while to reach the next level, arky!). What if we had something similar in the gallery for comments?

About the lack of comments, perhaps we could improve a rule: comment to download. However this could end with a lot of comments saying "Many Thanks" or "Thanks for sharing", same that happens at r1db. Well, forget it, let's stay like we are now

there is no enforced rule at r1db to make you comment before download it's download system is similar to here you download and comment after download if you wanted too but they certainly ain't enforced before download.

Bazz and I put our heads together and came up with an idea that should encourage more people to comment, and it is quite different than what has been mentioned here (but not mutually exclusive, we could still do this down the road if it makes sense...although someone other than Florida will have to pick the theme and titles).

I've promised it to him by the end of next week. I'll make an announcement when it is in place.
