Max Number Of Connections Error

I thought it would be worth mentioning that every now and then, when I attempt entering the forums from the portal page, I get an SQL error stating that the maximum number of connections has been exceeded.

You may want to increase this amount in the IPB control panel if it is an option there.

Connections have been restricted in the gallery, as there were hundreds of people trying to download images, and it was crashing the server. This will not prevent you from accessing and downloading in the gallery, but it will mean you are restricted to how many covers you may download at once. Forum connections are unlimited.

We were experiencing major teething problems yesterday, due to the amazing amount of people joining the site. We are hoping we have solved these now, but would appreciate you letting us know if you continue to receive these errors.

The SQL restriction affects all of hirescovers.net, not just the gallery. Once stability has been established we will look to remove that restriction.
