i would say no, because you are not proving anything by uploading scans that are not your own, it only causes problems for the site when someone else claims them.

As the rules state. ALL uploads for prove yourself must be your own work.

no those werent my scans. I did scan about 10-15 covers all 300 dpi and correct resolution and they all kept getting rejected because of poor quality. I dont understand what I kept doing wrong, so I figured I'd take some high res scans from another site and post them here. How can you tell they weren mine though ?

Generally because our members belong to all the cover sites out there, and they can recognize someones work. As for your rejections don't be disheartened, put them into WIP and some members like MrHenryDog for eg. (who is really good at doing scans) will help you to get them to the desired level for our site

ok thanks for the advice. I didnt mean to offend anyone. I figured a scan is a scan and it didnt matter if I scanned it myself or not .I thought that rule only applied to custom covers.

theres a tutorial on scanning on site (somewhere in the tip and trick forum) its basic for anyone who wants tom start scanning, done with paintshop, but a lot will apply whichever paint app you use
