Download Counter In Cover Art Section?

This may have been suggested before, but I didn't see any topics about it. What would you guys (and gals) think about putting a download counter in the Cover Art section? Is it possible? I think it would be cool to see not only how many people have viewed a certain cover, but also how many downloads the covers have received. Just an idea. Thanks!!!

That is what the views means. Each time a full size of the cover is downloaded, it is counted as a view. So, if it has been viewed 50 times, that means it has been downloaded 50 times

Oh! That's awesome. I just thought it literally meant "viewed", like how people view your posts. Thanks for the info, Bazz.

I had thought of a similar one (two actually)
1) Allow sorts when searching
2) Allow a sort on number of Views.
This would allow those of us who have ego issues to actually see which of our creations are getting the most hits.
If there is another way to easily satisfy my curiousity, please let me know.

If not then this is incorrect Bazz.

Say if 1 or more members leaves a comment on one of your covers then obviously you reply in kind and say thanks or similar, when you do this the displayed counter will go up by one. Obviously you're not going to download one of your own covers (unless maybe you've lost some of your files) but the counter still goes up by 1 without you viewing the full size one.
If I've somehow misinterpreted the post by GB then ignore this rambling. :whistle:

Now that you mention it, I remember that the "views" counter on my work was going up each time I looked at them myself. This was before I had full access to the site and could not even get to full size images.

Looks like you are right. Coppermine used to count the full sized downloads, now it seems it counts the intermediates. I will see if I can find a way of changing it.

Sorry... You guys are right. The counter in the Cover Art section actually says "Displayed" not "Viewed" or "Views". That was me not paying attention. Adn yeah, I noticed that the counter goes up everytime I look at a cover. So, purely for ego's sake, I was wondering if there was an actual download counter available. But it sounds like Bazz is already checking into that. Thanks!
