HD-DVD or BluRay, it doesn't matter, it's like saying DVD-R or DVD+R, Any manufacturer of high definition dvd players would be stupid NOT to support both. Each side has big company's backing them and none of them would invest time and money only to support half the market. Once the hybrid players have come out the battle is over and each format must live in peace with the other. As it says in the matrix "The problem is choice". and at the moment no one format is is winning, price, quality, storage space blah...blah...blah. wait for hybrid player and have the the best of both worlds

The die has been cast my friend ................ Blu Ray considerably extended its market % over HD/DVD format and the Aussie's are already pushing the Blu Ray button to further extend the growth. Also WARNER have pushed out BRUCE LEE on Blu Ray............and that will be a major influence in itself.
The major factor in all this however will be................which way will the Porn Industry swing (so to speak).............my money is on Blu Ray for that one............then you will see "kiddieverts" spending 24/7 on their PS3 and mummy saying what good little kids they are.

Sound quality will be another big issue for some people.....DTS-HD Master Audio is capable of delivering audio that is a bit-for-bit identical to the studio master. DTS-HD Master Audio delivers audio at super high variable bit rates -24.5 mega-bits per second (Mbps) on Blu-ray discs and 18.0 Mbps on HD-DVD .................Blu Ray is very close to the Holy Grail with this one ;)

here are some of Febs releases............take a look at the titles (very interesting)

Bullitt
The Getaway
Nature's Colors with the World's Greatest Music
Nine Inch Nails: Beside You in Time
Stranger Than Fiction
Babel
Destiny's Child: Live in Atlanta
The Prestige
Vertical Limit
Broken Arrow
Chain Reaction
Chronos
The Departed
Entrapment
Ladder 49
The Marine
Phone Booth
Planet of the Apes
Reign of Fire
The Sentinel

And these are for March

Casino Royale
From Hell
Hoosiers
Layer Cake
Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Big Fish
Chicken Little
Eragon
Finding Neverland
The Holiday
Incubus: Alive at Red Rocks
Rocky Balboa
The Curse of the Golden Flower
Happy Feet
March of the Penguins
The Pursuit of Happyness
Relentless Enemies
Warriors of Heaven and Earth
Dude, Where's My Car?
The Fly

ah the good old, well new, battle of hddvd vs bluray. Personally I hope that bluray dies in a flaming death, but that's mainly because that Sony is the main supporter. Though I don't want hddvd right now, I have spend to much money on dvds to replace them all now.

Sony hasn't learned anything from the Betamax vs Video war, they have again refused to allow porn on their media, which means they already have one foot in the grave. The advance technology also leaves Bluray more expensive and if you are a mortal human you will not be able too tell the difference in video and audio quality between the two medias.

Now don't get me started on the Playstation 3 vs Xbox360 war.

it will probably be a couple of years before we find out who will win, if any of them will. How many people do you know who has a HDTV that supports 1080p?
My covers may only be viewed on well calibrated screens and printed on well calibrated printers.

Playstation 3 is hands down the best Blu-ray player out, given the recent firmware update. This machine is totally future-proof. It's why Blu-ray discs outsells HD DVD 2 to 1. Not to mention, Blockbuster went exclusive with Blu-ray in stores, and looks like online too.
