Once again thanks to Speedz0r, Bazzah, JollyRoger, Chouette and Bunny Dojo for there involvement in the comp!
This was a pretty tough movie to make a cover for in my opinion and it wasn't because of the low quality resource
material. I am used to that lol, but it seemed to me that there is a TON of material already available for this movie.
Both retail and fan made artwork, so it seemed impossible to make something new and fresh.
So i opted to use a promotional image of the two main characters that I had only seen used on an illustrated artwork
I believe to be fan made, but im not sure.
I did quite a bit of research into the movie. For instance the roller coaster in the movie is the Viper from Six Flags Magic Mountain.
The picture I used isn't of the real one, but its constructed in the same way, so it looks the same. It's even the correct color.
The Swiss army knife and dino isn't just the correct one, its the actual one from the movie i found on an auction website. However, the
angle of the knife didn't work for me, so I used a picture of the same knife at a better angle, just had to clone out stuff i didn't want.
The Hollywood sign is just a few letters and lines to mimic the framework.
My research also showed me that the scene with the Porsche was filmed on Mulholland Drive, so i used Google street view to find
the right spot.
Sadly the weather sucked when google drove through there, so i replaced the background.The Mountain range on the front is a shot of Burbank, where the Safari Inn is.
oh one more fun fact, the Cadillac they used in the movie was bought by a guy. He restored it and now rents it out
