Nice start obviously.
Personally i would prefer a spanning spine with the DS9 station even if you find a place for the defiant ship.
And the color of the BR logo, too blue.
Specially on the spine.
But, remember, ti is your creation, so all is up to you :p
Keep it goin'

Ah ok, I see where you're going with each season. Makes a bit more sense.

It's a different concept than we are used to, but like everyone said, it's your work and you have the final word. Minimalist looking covers are not popular, but some like it. :)

There are a ton of covers that I think are crowded, even retail covers. I'm not going to bash people, but when it comes to TV series covers, I don't think we need to put EVERYTHING we can on the back. Blurb, a dozen images, cast picture, episode list, etc. I've printed off a few covers and they were messes due to being so busy. I will give it credit, it does reduce the necessity of an inlay.

I'm not here to change the world.

I think you need to work on some of the alignment, if you look at the attached image, I have drawn red lines on the cover so you can see how everything isn't aligned... currently I feel it looks a bit messy.

I see what you mean. I aligned everything to the credits and specs box, Spread out the icons on the bottom, and shifted the separating lines to these new boundaries.

Hmm.. It just doesn't look like a finished cover for me. Also, only the stills and the tagline at the top has been aligned with the credits.
sauron did an excellent job for you, showing you how things aren't aligned. I strongly recommend moving the logos, spec box and credits on the back up a bit, so they align with the BD logo on the spine. It will give the cover much better symmetry. I would also align the synopsis with the yellow line on the top.
You should try and keep the spacing the same on both sides of the cover, at the moment the title on the front is further from the edge then the logo on the bottom back, the tagline and the still image. I would also add some white frames around the still images to make them fit the cover a bit better.
Not trying to be rude but this is the best I can explain it, at the moment it's almost like you've gotten some pieces and just threw them on the canvas and that's it.

Please keep my covers on this site and this site only!

I know you're not trying to be rude, it would be rude for me to ask for advice and not consider it. This is exactly what I came on here to ask for.

Is there anything else I should consider?
