right i have a question which i need some clear advise on, i'm going be looking at buying a new printer, i want one that is really good for printing dvd covers and photo's at the moment i have epson stylus c66, which to me is pretty good for two reasons, the quality is decent, not perfect but not so you can notice unless you look close up, AND quite inportant, its easy to refill the cartridges, because the amount i print, and the prices of cartridges can get expensive, so what would be the best printer that can be refilled but has excellent quality, or should i stick with what i got? thanks cheers.gif

upgrade to the r200/300 series ..print straight to disc. it takes six inks, but if you buy a generic brand(not epson)you can buy 3 sets(18 inks) for as little as £15.
i have the r320 and i think its fantastic.
Sorry for my English, i'm from Leicester innit?

Or the Canon i3000/4000/4200/5200 are all superb printers, both Epson and Canon have their loyal followers.
You can refill or use 3rd party carts.

If you're interested i have a spare i3000 that I keep meaning to put on ebay 8834.gif

I use epson r220 and then use CSS ink system alot cheaper than replacing cartridges.

CSS systems are going for around £30-£40 now and bottles of replacement ink range from £5 per bottle (100ml) or sets of 6 bottles on ebay for around £12 (where is buy my bottle from lol.

Stick to the epson.... The r200 and 300 range has now been superseded. Check the epson website. The Cis is great for keeping costs down on ink thumb.gif
It has been a long time. Still two years to go.
Have been away a long time and still time to do.....

I'm also using an R220 with a Continous Ink System and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Canon pixma ip4300 here.. Prints good and it can print directly to discs.
Tho wouldn't say it's cheap to replace the ink, I pay ~50 euro for a full set of new cartridges... :(
I had a ip4000 before but when I tried to install 3rd party cart's it started making noise and finally died for some reason - good thing I got a new one on warranty. Now I'm not sure if I dare to even look for 3rd party cartridges now.

I have 2 epson R200's... both with CIS Systems... Ink in bulk is very cheap. prints are great both for covers and photos and print to cd makes it worth its weight in gold.
