HiRes Summer 2025 Comp [$200 in prizes]

Hello everyone, summertime is coming which usually means more free time for everyone, which is why me and Bazzah thought it would be a great time to host a special summer competition.

The theme is: Creating a Blu-Ray/4K custom cover for the movie "True Romance (1993)" IMDB Link
The reason for the theme only being this movie is because it's one of my absolute favorite movies of all time and despite me trying to create some covers for it myself, i feel it deserves much better. You are all so talented so I'm sure when the competition is over there will be a lot of amazing covers to choose from.
The competition starts 1. July and lasts until 15. August which should give you plenty of time to work on your submission.
I'll also try to provide as much resources as possible which I'll upload to the gallery.
The Prices will be: 1st = €125, 2nd = €50 and 3rd = €25.
There will be four very qualified judges who will score each submission.
Judging will take place from 15th to 31st August. The Winner will be announced 1st of September.

Entries will be judges on four categories:

Originality
How unique is the cover? Is the design original, or has it used elements that have previously been used on cover or poster art?

Quality
How good are the images used, or if low quality images how well they have been 'fixed'. Are the logos and texts high quality? How is the quality of cloning and/or masking and are colours consistent?

Skill
How high is the level of skills shown in the design to get the end result? Is it custom art or copy and paste background/poster art? Have filters been used to get the end result (such as Topaz) or has it been made using standard Photoshop tools?

Effort
How much effort has been put into the cover overall? Does it look like they really want to win the competition? Have they added those extra little details to make the cover a little more special? (Maximum effort guys!)
