Creating Poster Look Key-art

[attachment=50281:PosterLo...oreAfter.jpg]

In this tutorial I will show you how to use several tools in Photoshop to transform this stock image into High Contrast creative Color Graded keyart, those tools include:

1. Spot Healing Brush Tool - Used to clean up small imperfections in images.
2. Dodge Tool - Used to lighten areas of an image based on luminosity.
3. Quick Selection Tool - Used to select large similar areas quickly.
4. Color Lookup - An Adjustment Layer also called a Look-Up Table (LUT) and is a mechanism used to transform a range of input colors into different range of output colors. The custom LUT file used for this tutorial can be downloaded via the link at the end of this tutorial.
5. Camera Raw Filter - Used to adjust multiple image parameters at once.

I will be using one add-on filter not included in Photoshop and must be acquired separately and installed.

6. Topaz Labs - Adjust preset High Contrast - I'm using it instead of creating Dodge & Burn layers.

Very nice tutorial Monsieur Curt. I don't have Topaz but I still enjoyed how quickly that image was changed. I love the Spot Healing Brush Tool, I use it a lot. One day I will start learning the Camera Raw Filter as I get a lot of updates with that tool but never used it.

Fantastic tutorial again. Camera Raw is such a great tool. I don't think people use it enough.
