probably easiest to just make a new layer beneath that clipart. take the brush tool, make it soft and about the size you want the shadow. change the flow option to 20% or so, then just paint a bit. then lower the opacity of that layer to anywhere you think it looks good.

edit: something like this..

First rule, never, ever stretch an image or logo to make it fit. Find another solution than stretching or change the image. The new image you have now still shows it was stretch.

When I was learning, Wys suggested to chose a color on the front image to use for the spine and back before I try to do the gradient part.

You might find a better image on TMDb, check it out :

Good luck! :Owl:

P.S. We need Curt's beginners tutorials like we had at EFX. Those helped me so much!

I tried again. I did NOT stretch the photo I used photoshop AI fill. What do you think? Feel free to criticize I want to learn

easier said than done. LOL when you spend a whole day on something and its still not right you wanna throw the computer across the room. But I will persevere. You are absolutely right, this is the friendliest group Ive ever been lucky enough to be a part of.

I started another. And before anyone says anything the credits are not correct they are the dora credits. But I just wanted everyone's opinions on how this looks before I go any further. Also what can I do for the logo on the spine? As the shows logo is very square.

Before you continue with your new project, you want to remove the hyphenation on the synopsis for the Dora cover like JR mentioned. Now when you do this, you might have to adjust the font size so you don't have big gaps between some of the words.
JollyRoger wrote:QUOTE (JollyRoger @ Feb 12 2025, 11:17 AM) Synopsis looks better - but lose the hyphenation. Looks better if no words are divided - and personally I prefer if the text fits the whole line. (See attached pic).
