Just my 2 cents.

Normally it takes me months to do the German translations of my covers so there are for sure some covers uploaded in 2024 but I originally made them 2023. But the covers you've shown are from 2023 and the English versions so they were uploaded back in 2023 as well. Strange.
I'd prefer that as well but I think we've talked about that years ago and Darren had a good reason not to do so. Unfortunately I can't rememberWrench wrote:QUOTE (Wrench @ Jan 18 2025, 03:42 AM) Here's my 2 cents
only COTM winners are eligible for COTY
12 covers and you get 3 votes
way easier then going thru 155 pages of covers
no need to nominate anything it's been done each month
as for labels well???

It's definitely tempting... We have 12 HRC winners & 12 COTM winners ready and waiting... Is it worth saving everyone the task of trying to manually navigate to 25 nominees, when we can just go with those 24 instead?Wrench wrote:QUOTE (Wrench @ Jan 17 2025, 10:42 PM) way easier then going thru 155 pages of covers
On the one hand, a lot of my favorites from the year finished 3rd-5th in votes, and it would be cool to see a cover like M0vieM0nster & Wysmommy's collaboration for The Croods or Garot's K-19: The Widowmaker honored with an extra round of applause. On the other hand, we're almost 100% certain the Top 5 COTY picks will all be from the incredible lineup of COTM & HRC winners.
(Label of the Year is occasionally a big wild card, but I think historically all of our COTY winners have come from previously winning covers.)

If anyone is finding nominations difficult, just click 'All Nominations' to see what covers have already been nominated. You can then pick your 10 nominations from this list
