Cover and Label Of The Year 2024

It is that time of year again, where we decide on the most prestigious awards that we offer. It is now your opportunity to nominate for the Cover Of The Year and Label Of The Year awards. We have such an amazing years worth of custom cover art for you to pick from, so you have two weeks to get in your nominations.

Please remember, that covers and labels that have been uploaded prior to 2024, and modified or converted, will not qualify. So please do not nominate these titles. If you are unsure, then please message me.
Once all of the covers and labels have been nominated, the top 25 covers and 25 labels will be moved onto the voting stage. This will start on the 1st February, when you will be able to vote for your favourite 10 from each category.

I just noticed that we are able to nominate COTY nominees from last years COTY. I hope no one does that since they are technically not from 2024.

Are you seeing covers that have been converted etc, from 2023? As the eligible items run from January 1st to December 21st 2024.

I nominated one such; but seeing it was originally from '23, I un-nominated it. IMHO a cover shouldn't be in 2 different COTY competitions; translations do not count in my book. The original work is what matters to me.

That is correct, pre 2024 artwork that has been modified is not eligible. But as it was uploaded in 2024, it will show in the eligible list.

I actually have no idea what the reason behind it is, but if you take a look here, I've circled around some of the covers with this issue.

They all say things like this:

It is most likely because I have removed them from the competition, so they can not be added again. I went through the covers earlier, and removed quite a few that were originally uploaded in 2023.

How would I know if an older cover pre 2024 was modified and uploaded in 2024 if the designer does not mention anything about the change(s)?

It is a little different for you efx guys, but most of the rest of us recognise the cover has been uploaded before. So we can do a quick gallery check. Don't worry too much, as the staff are on the lookout in nominations
