I cannot wait for Yellowstone  It is taking far too long for the rest of season five to come out!

Road House (2024) I am a Jake Gyllenhaal fan, ever since he starred in the very clever Nightcrawler. And I was very much looking forward to Road House, but at the same time wondering how Connor McGregor would do as an important actor. Well I really enjoyed the film. It is no Fight Club, but it is still a solid story, with some good fight scenes and some great humour. But I just could not take McGregor seriously. From what I have read people have very mixed opinions on his role in the movie. Personally I found his acting painfully bad. He plays a nut case quite well, as he is a nutter in real life. But otherwise I found him very cringey.

Have you seen the movie, and what did you think of Conor McGregor?

I would have given Road House 8 out of 10, but I have to take two points away for casting McGregor. So I give it 6/10.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm definitely NOT a fan of Conor McGregor. I didn't realize he was part of the cast, so I might reconsider watching it even though I'm a Jake Gyllenhaal fan as well. Well a fan might be overrated, but I like him. :D

6/10 rating huh? You're a harsh rater, lol

I think knowing that Conor McGregor was in it, and was likely to be bad at acting, helped me to enjoy the film. I would give it a go. Gyllenhaal is great in it. Just be prepared for the cringefest scenes with McGregor trying to act

Resident Alien (2021-)

This is a fantastic series, if you like a bit of weird and wacky topped with a sprinkling of Sci-fi. Alan Tudyk absolutely steals the show for me, as an alien in human form, trying his best to fit in. His quirky humour is brilliant, and makes me laugh-out-loud at least once per episode. I have just finished Season Three, and it was just as good as the first two seasons. I highly recommend this series. 9/10

I've started to watch the TV Series Hudson and Rex and really like it! I love movies or series with dogs, reason why I'm giving this one a try. I've got quite a few seasons to watch, so we'll see. I also watched the first season of Will Trent. Also pretty good.

Shogun (2024)

Wow, what a series. I am not normally a fan of subtitled movies or series, as you miss a lot of on-screen action while reading the subs. But I don't think you could watch this one without them speaking Japanese. It really helps set the atmosphere. I should add that there are some English parts, but most is subtitled. The series is pretty amazing, and had me hooked from the start. The story line (based on a book by James Clavell) is very strong, and so are the characters. My only negative about this series, is that there is only one season. 9/10

I haven't seen the original, so I can't compare them myself. But the originals are always better :)
