The Batman (2022)

For me this has some really good points and some bad. The good is, it is an enjoyable movie that seemed shorter than 3 hours. Although there were a few scenes that dragged on, with a lot of unnecessary dialogue. I liked the Riddler scenes but I was left disappointed with the Penguin scenes and character. It is a very dark and moody movie, that should suit Robert Pattinson. But for me he just isn't Batman. Before I saw the movie, I was expecting him to be a let down. But I thought the same when Ben Afleck was announced as the new Batman. I grew to really like Afleck and he suited the role really well. So I went in with the mindset that I may be surprised by Pattinson. Unfortunately I was not. So overall I really don't understand the hype of this movie, with people even saying it is better than The Dark Knight. 6/10

Top Gun (2022)

I haven't see this yet, but I am very curious to know. Is it as good as the reviews suggest? I was not expecting it to be much good at all, but I am quite excited to see it.

So if you have seen it, what did you think?

House of the Dragon (2022) 9/10

I watched the first episode last night, and I was delightfully impressed. Being a GOT prequel, this has a lot to live up to. And so far, it has. One thing many people, and myself, wanted in GOT was more dragon's and less naked men  So far this has it all. A solid story (so far), great special effects and dragons! I cannot wait for episode two next week.

As for Top Gun: Maverick, my wife and I saw it when it opened and loved it! Just as good as first one! It was non-stop and had us on the edge of our seats the entire time! The entire drive home from theater (2 1/2 hrs), my adrenaline was pumping and couldn't stop thinking about it and put up a review on my Youtube channel (Screamin' Geek Media). Of course, seeing it in Dolby Cinema was icing on the cake! If you can see it in the theater, I highly recommend it.

I still can't get over the amount of hate for the new Halloween movies! I guess to each their own. I loved them! So much better than some of the other movies in the franchise! I just recently watched #3, 4 & 5 and realized how they do not hold up today. But I try to keep an open mind with movies and enjoy them for what they are and NOT what they SHOULD be. Let's face it, nothing will ever compare with the original Halloween. A great classic that I enjoy to this day. I am looking forward to Halloween Ends and will see it in theater. Of course, my prediction is Covid will kill him off finally! LOL

As for last movie & TV show:

Santa with Muscles (1996) 4/10 Old cheesy movie with Hulk Hogan. So stupid, it's funny. Yes he was a bad actor, but I do enjoy his movies as they are fun entertainment. I just got this on Blu-Ray from Hamilton Books where you can get a lot of cheap movies.

Resident Alien (2021-2022) 9/10
I love this show! I was hooked from the start! I will admit the 2nd season isn't as good as 1st season, but still enjoyable. Always wondering what will happen next!

Andor (2022) I really enjoy the Star Wars spin-off series that they keep bringing out, in particular Mandalorian. I was a little apprehensive about Andor, as I heard it was a slow grind. I guess it can be a little slow at times, but it is absolutely brilliant. If you are a fan of the original star wars movies, this is a must watch!
