Bright sun oil painting effect

Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone has any tips on rendering an image like the one attached here. This look is exactly what I want, but I need it to be higher resolution and I need it to cover more area (that is, more of the yellow halo extending out from the sun). Any help is deeply appreciated!

You need Thick Acrylic Paint Strokes brushes to get that look.
