Hi All,

Sorry for the loose topic title, ive been asked to redo/resample/edit/improve a picture of my late father inlaw so it can be resized up to a A3 canvas but the scanned photo isnt the best (due to age and quality) and i was hoping and praying maybe someone would help/advise best to do. i do kinda need to get it done asap so we can get it sorted for his funeral on monday 7th march... (SORRY)

Any tips help and advise is welcomed as to improving it and also loosing the bright white/yellow color in the corner if possible

Many thanks
Dave.

I think it looks like a pretty decent scan other than having a lot of noise but if it's for an order of service then I imagine it wouldn't look too bad when printed.

You could run it through Camera Raw and reduce the noise, highlight as well as play with the rest of the sliders and see if that helps?

Cheers buddy, ive tried noise reduction but cant get it right and it ends up looking abit blurry, its for my partners dads funeral and wanted to make it into a a3 canvas to display at his funeral service so wanted to make it decent as she hasnt got alot of photos of him sadly :(

It's a very blurry picture which makes it very hard to make it better. I have tried something quickly... it's not great but reduces it a little.

If you want the psd file let me know and I can send it to you.

That one may have been a bit too over processed. Another attempt...
