There are two ways of using Content-aware Fill. You can press Shift F5 or got to Edit -> Content-aware Fill for the advanced version.

Content-aware Fill is a great tool for removing unwanted items from posters etc, by doing the cloning work for you. It isn't always perfect, but when used in conjunction with the Clone or Healing Brush Tool it can be. For example, if I wanted to remove the tag line and Netlix text from this poster

Select the areas that you want removed with the Marquee Tool (M) and press Shift + F5. Select Content-Aware from the drop down menu and then OK.

You can see that the tagline text has been removed perfectly. However, some parts like the complicated tube from her helmet aren't right.

But with a little bit of Cloning and/or Healing Brush tool, you can clean this up

If you find Content-Aware isn't working well with the image you have, try using the Advanced version. Select the text you want to remove, and go to Edit -> Content-aware Fill. A new window will open where you can select different options, such as what areas to use to fill the selected area.
