You can save individual layers as assets, by selecting File > Generate > Image Assets
[attachment=45547:assetsselect.jpg]
Now if you rename a layer with a file extension (for example Grogu.jpg) that layer will be saved into an assets folder as a jpg. If you have a transparent image, add .png and it will be saved as a transparent png file.

You can also group your layers, and save them as a jpg, or transparent png.

There are many things you can do with this feature. Here are some examples you can try out:
Generate multiple assets from a layer or layer group
HiResCovers.jpg, HiResCoversb.png, HiResCoversc.png
Save assets to a subfolder
[subfolder]/HiResCovers.jpg
Specify quality and size parameters
Quality: HiResCovers.jpg50%
Image Size: 75% HiResCovers.jpg
Scale Image
42% HiResCovers.png
1000px x 2000px HC_logo.png
