Venome was one of my favourite designers, when he was active. He possessed real talent, creating extremely well made original designs. He was also a real help around the forums too.

What worthy choice, as they all are of course, Venome has been a great inspiration, a great help, I miss his work, I could easily post every cover he has done, these ones really struck and inspired me, I could never come close to doing any justice to them but I tried, thanks for everything V!

I really like your work, the situation is almost everything .... unconscious creative, elaborate and mostly detailed.
I can't tell you my favorite ... it's more like just 3 things i can see at any time.

I remember when this cover was made, and to think it's over 10 years old. We don't see you around here these days, but hopefully you'll be back to check out this thread. Brilliant work on the front with a great cut out of Kong, great looking scenery in the background and a really nice job with the vines, separating the front artwork and the TT. The back also looks great, two fantastic cutout images and the perfect picture of Naomi in the middle. Again excellent work with separating things with the vines. The screens look great and the texture fits the cover perfectly. Great choice of image for the spine too and very nice colors as well.


Brilliant done with the cutouts on the front and the whole montage looks fantastic, excellent use of rim lights and colors. Stunning work on the back, the cutouts look superb, really great work with the hair on the characters too. Really cool work with the SF's, the shine you added on it gives it something extra. Great work on the template and all in all a superb cover.


You have such a stunning way of working with hairs, it looks like every small stray of hair has been perfectly cut out, which i find truly amazing. Other than the cutouts the front montage looks brilliant, everything fits nice together. Nice job with all the action in the background, it looks good with the explosions and burning parts here and there. Fantastic job on the back too, I like how you have the two main characters on one side and a cool created action scene on the other. Brilliant work with the colors and lighting and fantastic job on the template. A brilliant cover imo and one of your best.

Venome's style of covers -- superbly detailed, desaturated, and ultra-sharp -- were a defining feature of this site for years, and his influence continues. I'd be very curious to see what he's up to these days and hope he still has a creative outlet for his incredible talents.
