This weeks featured designer is Jollyroger!

Please join us in celebrating Jollyroger by posting one or more of your favourite covers they have made so far.

It doesn't matter if the cover has already been posted by someone else.

Jollyroger. A true HiResCovers original, who unfortunately doesn't create custom covers anymore. However, he has left us with a great selection of awesome covers.

His designs were always so unique and extremely well executed. He also still pops by to annoy us all from time to time.

Hopefully one day he will surprise us with a new creation.

I really like what he did on his Hitman cover, very different to others.

My number one Tv Show for that specific genre:

That one was so innovating at that time. Still looking great though.

This one is also high level, but, a special one for me because i've discovered JR at that time with this cover.
A famous cover for a famous movie.

and then came this one:

Brilliant, simple, clever... Another great cover, innovating for that time period.

And the last:

Big on talent and big on personality, JR was a star of our community for years.

He's managed to follow up quiet periods with triumphant returns in the past, so I always log on here with a hint of expectation to see his name. Until then, he has a wonderful collection of past designs that continue to hold up beautifully.

Congratulations on being Designer of the Week, good ol' JR ;)
You have a lot of great covers in your gallery, but this are three of my favorites.

One of your later covers, but one I'm very impressed with, the front art work with the neon lights in the background is a masterpiece. Fantastic work on the droplets as well, I know it's not easy to get the "wet look", but your attempt looks great! I'm also a huge fan of the orange/yellow colors on the front, great job on the rim lights too. The back fits the front perfectly with the black/orange colors and also the bright yellow template. I love the screens you have chosen and how you've set them up (cut them out), nice different contrast (colors) on the screens. The top left artwork also looks great with the woman shown in the shattered glass and the colors with the blue in the background and orange in front look excellent. Very nice job on the tagline too, and the newspaper is a really nice touch. Last but not least, great work on the smiley button with the blood on it, makes it no doubt that this is a Watchmen cover.

I've seen this movie and this is a really great cover for it. I really like how you have the map in the background and how you've split the flag. Excellent job on the cutout and shadowing of Malcolm and also the TT is brilliantly done! The back is classy with the red texture for the template and the blue for the SFs. Nice choice of image to use on the background and the screens and synopsis look great. A really classy and great looking cover.

I like the standoff on the front, how you added the TT and the sparkles, brings the front to life. I also think the reys you've added is a nice touch.
Great job on the back, nice job adding the main characters with the pictures on the side and also nicely done with the screens, it gives the cover a somewhat comic book feel. The artwork on the back also looks good, it tells us that this is an action packed movie. Great job with the logo and the SFs :) .

JR has always done class work, I know he spent a lot of time on his creations and it always showed, he has also always been very helpful to others, offering great support and advice, honestly so, and when needed he would tell you if what you're trying to do is not good, or just not working and he would always try and help you to improve your own work to try and achieve the design you were looking for.

Here's a few beauties that I remember

It's all uphill til you get to the top

Awwww shucks! Thanks a lot guys! Maybe I could find the time to finish off a few old wips - or maybe a few new movies need a custom cover? Hmmmm!
