Another great cover, I’ve never heard of this one but judging from it being cancelled after 1 season, the cover is much better than the show.

Kernie's Weekly Cover Update #44: Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 1984!
[Click image to view in gallery]

It's the most wonder-ful time of the year, so Kernie Christmas is coming early this year! :D :D

Despite having made the cover for Wonder Woman (2017) not that long ago, I decided to do a bit of a revamp for it. Mainly to bring it more in line with the revised versions of the Superman film series (particularly Man of Steel and BvS) but also for the new 4K edition. I hope you enjoy the new keyart, 3D title treatment, and slight modifications to the template.

Since Wonder Woman 1984 hits HBO Max (and theaters, I guess) on Friday, I wanted to have this cover ready to go as a special Christmas treat for everyone!

I initially tried to give the keyart the same "80's rainbow color scheme" that the marketing materials are using for this film, and while I liked the results on their own, it really didn't work with the overall color palette of the template established for the first film.

I tried altering the color scheme of the template for WW84, but it just wasn't working. Also, I didn't want to break from my system of maintaining the same palette for all films in a series, especially a direct sequel such as this. I felt my cover for the first Wonder Woman film really fit that movie's tone and didn't want to alter it in order to adapt for the more vibrant sequel, so unfortunately, all the poppy neon colors of the WW84 marketing had to be removed in order to maintain consistency amongst my covers. Now, both covers go together but I don't feel the one for WW84 accurately captures that 80's vibe.

This is one of those cases where the first and second films just had wildly different marketing styles and I couldn't reconcile them into a single color palette that served both films properly.

Alas, I decided to share my original keyart just to give you an idea of what could have been had I just been a little better at what I do... :( :D

Enjoy and Happy Holidays! :D :D :D

What a wonderful Christmas present for us :D The artwork and title treatment is fantastic as always. You could always make an independent cover, to incorporate your rainbow artwork. It is a shame you couldn't use the rainbow colours in your collection, but you made the right decision to keep it consistent with the set :)

WOW, absolutely loving the new 3D treatment and the new cover, best decision to leave the colours, although the rainbow does look good, I love how they still match, Merry Christmas

I like the colourful artwork you did for WW84 but also think you made the right decision keeping everything consistent :)

Awesome work Kernie.
