I am trying to rework some poster art, but I have been having problems with the shadows. The shadow of the can in the original is all wrong, so I removed it and added a straight forward shadow. But I am unsure if it looks right or not. I then added a matchbox with tagline, and again I would like to get opinions on the shadows please.

I don't see a problem with your revision. Definitely more accurate than the original. I admit my eye for detail is diminished though.

Your version looks so much better than the original.

Should the match box shadow also be longer to match the can? I might be wrong as I’m not very good with matching shadows.

I am not too sure either. The matchbox is leaning up against the can though, so I am not sure how long the shadow should be.

The can shadow might have been best where it was?

Less the spout and not quite as wide?

Because if the light source is at a high angle like it appears to be in the original ie (casting a short shadow) then with the spout located on the front like that, I doubt it would add to the shadow and most certainly the handle would not make it in...
