Your current serif looks cool, but might pair better with a lighter weight of the tagline font. Your previous title has really grown on me, too -- is it Interstate?

Also, heads-up, it looks like there might be a stray block of plain white on the bottom-right of the canvas.

The update is looking good, personally I’m not keen on the position of the tag line, it looks like it’s just been placed there for now and will be moved later. Why not move it down to the bottom and change it to white?

I feel a wider font could work better for the TT, something like Termina Bold (https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/termina) or Aviano Sans Bold (https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/aviano-sans) or even Condor Black (https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/condor)?

Great start and I really like what you've so far but I think you need to reduce the face saturation, it's too orange imo.
I also think you need to do something to avoid all that negative space on the top, maybe a dramatic sky could work but now it's just a white block with text.

Btw, is the tagline really necessary? It seems out of place there.

Sorry I didn't layout my to-do list:
- clean up edges and messy cutouts (right hand corner, the gun, the hair, soft edge on pants)
- paint work to make the tentacles look similar

I think I like the tagline up top because of the design balance? It also gives a nice wavy, s-curve of elements in the cover

Thank you for the font suggestions! After looking at all of them, I think Afire may fits the needs better? Plus the "R" looks like a tentacle/knife and fits in perfectly - I'd love to get in touch with your connections, Bunny, to get that one for free

And thanks, Ark! I'll def have to go sky-browsing to find something fitting, but not distracting And you're right about him being too orange - I also messed up his lighting, now he looks translucent, almost with less-defined shadowing?
