Hitchcock Collection
Trying something different for the front. Picked one film (this is Rope...would be the cover for Volume 2 or 3), and made a graphic from that into the cover image.
What do you think of this concept?

I think your version with the top blue banner on the back looks great -- if you like that route, you could probably remove the title and extra Hitchcock silhouette and just give the text a little more breathing room.
It sounds like you prefer the version without the blue banner, and that looks great too.
(If you just remove the banner from your banner version, that would probably look fantastic; the sizing of your elements on that one is very good.)
Your most recent post with the Rope-inspired front is cool and clever. A whole series of individual minimalist designs could be spectacular. But, for the collection, it's probably too limiting to do one title per volume (especially on the volume with his biggest hits).

I think I'm done. I'm happy with this version. Thanks for your help all.
The graphic on the front works for me. Just going to use the same for all volumes.
