Finally getting caught up on the recent stream of DC direct-to-video releases... first up is Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, the final installment of the "New 52" style DC Animated Movie Universe that started back with Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox.Kernie wrote:QUOTE (Kernie @ Aug 8 2020, 01:30 AM) Kernie's Weekly Cover Update #24: Justice League Dark: Apokolips War!
Haven't started watching these yet. Didn't realise there was an order to watch them. Could someone post the films in this set and the watch order please.

Here's the list of films included in the DC Animated Movie Universe continuity, for anyone who doesn't have the Internet themselves!WilderMike wrote:QUOTE (WilderMike @ Aug 8 2020, 05:14 AM) Haven't started watching these yet. 1. Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox
2. Justice League: War
3. Son of Batman
4. Justice League: Throne of Atlantis
5. Batman vs. Robin
6. Batman: Bad Blood
7. Justice League vs. Teen Titans
8. Justice League Dark
9. Teen Titans: The Judas Contract
10. Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay
11. The Death of Superman
12. Reign of the Supermen
13. Batman: Hush
14. Wonder Woman: Bloodlines
15. Justice League Dark: Apokolips War
To be honest, I wasn't fully aware that all of these films were sharing continuity until about the first Justice League Dark movie. Perhaps it's because I wasn't really paying that much attention. Some of the connections are obvious (Batman vs. Robin is pretty much a direct sequel to Son of Batman). Other films share a much more vague connection and some threads are never followed up on or properly resolved. It's sort of a weird universe, in my opinion.
It's debatable if Constantine: City of Demons should be included. It's technically not part of the DC Universe line of films, but it features Matt Ryan voicing Constantine just as he did in Justice League Dark (but yet his live-action portrayal of Constantine in the CW Arrowverse must absolutely be a separate continuity). The animated Constantine is probably connected, but it might not be essential viewing to understand the overall storyline of the universe.
i wouldn't quite classify constatine as a direct continuation but it was the same style of animation so i guess that's up for debate.Kernie wrote:QUOTE (Kernie @ Aug 8 2020, 12:14 PM) Here's the list of films included in the DC Animated Movie Universe continuity, for anyone who doesn't have the Internet themselves!![]()

i've watched them all and knew they were a universe pretty much from the get go. Wonder Woman bloodlines is the weakest in the franchise imo
