Finally got all of the crossover movies through the post, unfortunately the crisis on Earth-X is a 2 disc set, any chance of having the discs with a disc one and disc two added pretty please Kernie

Awesome! Would love to see how they look with my covers on them! ;) ;) ;)

Thanks for sharing the pictures! It's always a thrill to see a physical version of the covers in use! :D :D :D

That's odd that Crisis on Earth-X is split between 2 discs, since it's only 4 episodes, but here are a Disc 1 and Disc 2 for you. I'm not going to upload them to the galley, I'm just putting them here in the thread for anyone who might be in the same boat as you.

Kernie's Weekly Cover Update #21: Watchmen!
[Click image to view in gallery]

I've decided to post early this week because I've been excited to share this latest batch of updates!

Here is the cover for the recent (and phenomenal) HBO limited series Watchmen! While the possibility of a second season remains a mystery, with creator Damon Lindelof stating "he told the story he wants to tell" and HBO billing it as a "limited event series," I've decided to label this as "The Complete 2019 Series." If a second season is announced and eventually produced, I may alter this cover to be "Season 1." But until there's more definitive proof one way or the other, I'm going to act as though this show was a "one-and-done" season.

If you're a fan of the original comic, this show is a must-see. A very well-done sequel to the original story. In fact, if you haven't seen the show yet, I'm putting the cover previews in SPOILER TAGS as simply looking at my keyart will be a major reveal for the appearance of one central character from the original comic series!

SPOILER WARNING: DO NOT CLICK ON THE COVER PREVIEW IF YOU HAVE NOT YET SEEN HBO'S WATCHMEN AND WANT TO BE SURPRISED!! :D

On another note, I'll probably post a few behind-the-scenes insights on the following covers sometime within the next week, as I had to do LOT more work on these keyarts than what might immediately appear.

Watchmen: The Complete 2019 Series - Blu-ray Edition

Watchmen: The Complete 2019 Series - DVD Edition

And of course, since I was making a cover for the new Watchmen show, I had to give the old 2009 covers a retouching as well! I know many of you might disagree, but I can't stand to look at some of my old designs anymore and I want to bring them up to my current standards.

Obviously, I won't be re-doing the whole Comic Book Collection, but my rationale for updated designs usually goes along with a format upgrade (like a new 4K edition or the Blu-ray release of previously DVD-only title) or the completion of a series (like wanting to update all Arrow covers as the series came to an end). The next few weeks will see a mixture of brand-new covers and some 4K/Blu-ray upgrades!

In regards to Zack Snyder's Watchmen film, you might notice that I don't draw a clear distinction between the theatrical cut, director's cut, and the ultimate cut on my covers. I tried to make these designs universal across all editions, so that they are most useful to the broadest range of people, regardless of which "cut" you might own!

Watchmen (2009) - DVD Edition

And what the hell? Let's include a revamped Tales of the Black Freighter too! :D

Not much to say about this keyart, as there was virtually nothing besides this image used to promote the animated "story-within-a-story" segment from Snyder's film. Believe me, I tried to find character art or animation models to make something more interesting, but nothing was high-quality enough to be sufficient. It is what it is. And at this point, I don't know how much people really need this separate edition, as the "Tales of the Black Freighter" segments have now been fused back into the Watchmen Ultimate Cut.

And just for good measure, he's an updated version of Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic while I'm at it! :D :D

I'm most proud of the fact that I was able to essentially match my keyart from Snyder's live-action Watchmen film with artwork from Dave Gibbons' original Watchmen comic art!

Enjoy and see you next week!

Let's have some Forum Fun and take some guesses as to what might be next! :D :D :D

Nice job on the updated Watchmen covers. I didn't look at the new ones since I've not seen the series yet. Will have to bump that up the list just so I can take a look at your covers.

Wow, you have been a busy boy! Perfect work on the series covers for Watchmen. I have only watched a few of them, but your cover is very fitting. And awesome work on the others too! Thank you Kernie :D
