Your welcome Mike ;)

Kernie what can I say that has not been said many times before, not that I mind repeating it, there is empirical evidence a plenty to support the many lofty bars you have set not only in this collection but in the cover world in general.

I know I have been inspired by you as I think a great many others have been as well, even outside of HC judging by the number who have tried to mimic you so often.

I know you like to call it a old template but I think with all the updates you have made over the years and continue to make to it that might be a little inaccurate to call it that lol, the artwork in it sure shows a progression of one who loves what they do and aspires to continually improve it.

So hats off to you for continuing to prove to us that just because something is great does not mean we should be content to float along with that and to not try harder to make it better still.

Many thanks for being a inspiration to us all and for tending to this amazing collection you have created with such love and devotion all these many years.

Thank you stampe, joelazza, cas, and Bazzah! :D :D :D

And thank you for the extremely kind words, Curt. The HiRes community has been incredibly supportive over the years and I cannot thank everyone enough for their continued interest in my "rusty old template." I love this hobby. I love learning and growing as a designer. And I love that my learning experiences are sitting on someone else's shelf. It's truly gratifying to see pictures of a blu-ray collection with my artwork in it, whether it's only one cover or fifty. It makes all of the long hours worth it.

Like everyone, I have my ups and downs. HiResCovers has provided me with more ups than I can begin to count. But there have been a fair share of down days as well. Things like a demanding PM request from a person who has never bothered to leave a single comment. Or seeing my covers on bootleg blu-ray/DVD websites and knowing that some dishonest folks are profiting off of artwork I've never personally taken a dime for. Over the years, I've learned to deal with these sorts of issues. But my biggest fear in this hobby is that I continue to take time out of my life to design covers for an audience that no longer exists. Thanks to the recent slew of incredibly uplifting posts, that doesn't seem to be the case at the moment.

I'm more than happy to continue delivering covers as long as I know there are still people that are happy to have them.

Thank you to everyone who does not let this thread stay quiet. The Comic Book Collection lives on not because of me, but because of you. :D :D :D

Kernie's Weekly Cover Update #18: The DC/CW Crossovers!
[Click image to view in gallery]

I've had a few requests to create covers for the annual DC/CW Crossover Events. In the past, I've resisted the idea... partially due to lack of time, partially because I couldn't figure out a template that served multiple different shows, partially because these were not given standalone releases in my neck of the world.

Apparently these have been receiving DVD releases outside of the US. In the US, each crossover has typically been included within the Blu-ray/DVD season sets of the respective shows. With the recent Crisis on Infinite Earths however, a special bonus disc containing all 5 episodes of the crossover is being included within each season set.

So, I decided... what the hell? Let's do the crossovers!

* I should note however that I am only making covers for the crossovers from Invasion! forward. This was the first massive crossover to span across Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl. I am aware that there were technically two other crossovers in the early years of Arrow and Flash. I have chosen not to include Arrow Vs. Flash and Heroes Join Forces (the Legends setup episodes) because they are merely 2-part episodes that only span two different shows. The single-episode crossovers between Flash and Supergirl are also not being included. These episodes can be found in their appropriate season sets for those shows.

These are amazing, I just hope I can now find the actual DVD releases to go with the cover, I hate not having a complete set...if this carries on, i can see my missus kicking me out as my DVD collection will soon be out of control, currently sitting at 4,500 films and roughly 350 complete TV show box sets
