Particularly great richness on the imagery here, and impressive work bridging the film franchises and CW series!
That title treatment! You've probably already thought of this, but if there's ever a film or show with zero resources, just having one of your title treatments centered would be enough to carry the cover, Batman 1989-style.
(I'm so tempted to suggest that route for "Complete Series" or "Movie Trilogy" sets, too, but doing 1 probably means requests for 100, so that lessens the appeal of a quick experiment on a rainy day.
)

Yes, the title treatments really are something else and they would be enough to stand alone on the front of a cover! I don't think people realise just how good they are, because most people will presume they are stock titles. If anyone has ever dabbled with 3d work, they would really appreciate the work involved.

Thank you so very much to the both of you for taking the time to acknowledge and appreciate the title treatments!Bazzah wrote:QUOTE (Bazzah @ Jun 21 2020, 06:12 AM) Yes, the title treatments really are something else and they would be enough to stand alone on the front of a cover! I'm at the point where I can't stand pasting a stock title treatment onto one of my covers. That's not a knock against anyone who does, it's just that I love giving more depth, more texture, and more lighting effects to help my covers pop just a little more.
The title treatments and logos actually take quite a bit of time, because I generate a basic version in a 3D plug-in in After Effects (I sometimes use Cinema 4D as well) and then export the layers to Photoshop for further coloring, texture, and lighting. A fresh new title treatment can take a day or two on it's own (and that's a day or two with an unexpected amount of free time) or sometimes longer.
Tim's suggestion of "Title Only" covers is certainly an intriguing one. Could be a fun little diversion some day. But as he pointed out, it's also opening another can of worms... and I'm still dealing with this "Comic Collection" can of worms I opened over a decade ago!
Thanks again to everyone who takes the time to comment! I've said it before but I'll say it again... your enthusiasm for more covers is a HUGE driving force in motivating me to make more covers!
I truly appreciate those of you who routinely leave comments in this thread and on the individual items you download in the gallery. If you're someone who likes my covers and wants to see more but does not speak up, please consider doing so. When I start to hear crickets chirping in this thread, it makes me feel like interest is gone and I should call it quits. Perhaps the recent weeks of DC/CW shows just aren't your cup of tea... I get that. I also know there's bigger problems in the world right now, so I understand if supporting my Comic Book Collection covers is not a top priority on anyone's list, but please know that your interest keeps me interested. The smallest comment goes a long way.
To those who loudly shout their enthusiasm and support... thank you, thank you, thank you. To those who quietly download everything I upload... thank you as well... and I'd love to hear your voice too!
Have a great day, folks... I hope to have some more surprises in stores in the next few weeks!

I LOVE YOUR WORK.
Loudest I could shout about it.
I use every cover I need for my movie catalogue and have printed a few with many more on my to do list.
And what always brings a smile to my face is 99% of the time when I look at the Gallery showcase there is one of your covers there. As I type this there are 2!!!
Please don't stop. I have and always understood that life and family come first. I am so grateful for every one you add to this amazing collection. I dread the day you stop and I have to find new covers. Having them all match is a big thing for me. My wife makes steelbook spines and covers to sell and I bug the hell out of her to make them for me (so far not been charged), so even they match.
Thanks again
Mike

It's a real thrill and a huge motivating factor to know that not only are people using my covers, but that some of them are anxiously awaited.
I know how difficult finding free time can be (particularly in the pre-lockdown days), and I certainly don't expect people to be checking this site as often as I do. I realize posting a comment after every upload might be asking a lot. But a comment every couple of weeks would really help motivate me to keep going. Please don't be a stranger for too long!
I'm grateful for every single person who takes the time to comment. There are a handful of truly awesome people who give me weekly feedback every time I post something new. Every time I finish a new cover, I think about people like cas, sauron, merdec, Speedz0r, kalell75, Bazzah, Punisherchad, RRJR84, redt8tr, garsted, joelazza, nightcrawler23, Bunny Dojo (and I apologize to anyone else who's I'm forgetting) and hope that they'll be excited to see my latest creation! He's been quiet for a little while now, but Darksaber's in-depth comments were also a regular treat in this thread! I could continue to name all of the members who motivate me to keep making new covers, but I'd be here all day and I'm sure I'd leave someone out!
But there's also times where I feel like I'm doing a concert for a packed stadium and it's only the same five or six people clapping after every song. I have never and do not intend to take any money for my covers. No portion of site subscriptions have ever found their way into my pockets, nor do I want it. The only fee I request is a simple comment every so often to encourage me to keep going. I hope that's reasonable and I hope some people who look at this thread but never post will start to chime in as well.
I'll keep making covers as long as I know there's people out there who still want them.
It's when I start hearing more and more crickets chirping in this thread (and a cough from some random guy in the back row) that I start to question if I should finally throw in the towel.
Thanks everyone for reading this!
