Kernie's Weekly Cover Update #13: Batwoman: Season 1

Interesting timing on this one. I was already planning to upload Batwoman this week (I'm going alphabetically through this year's DC live action shows) and then the surprising news broke earlier this week that star Ruby Rose will not be returning for Season 2. There's a few rumors swirling as to why, most of which saying it was a mutual feeling between her and the studio that she wasn't a good fit. The role will apparently be recast for Season 2.
I'll be honest, I haven't watched this show with the exception of the Batwoman episode that was part of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event. I wasn't terribly intrigued by her appearance in last year's Elseworlds crossover and her role in Crisis didn't go much further to sell me on her either. I hope to check out the whole season when the official retail blu-ray arrives later this summer.
Anyone who has watched the show have any input? I've heard mixed reviews.
Batwoman: Season 1 - Blu-ray Edition (available in 10mm & 15mm)

I've been watching it. It's a mixed bag. Some low points and some great ones. The main villain Alice, is great. Just enough crazy without taking it too far. While Ruby Rose is good she wasn't quite good enough. Now I can see why. She got badly injured during the beginning of the season and her mood and attitude must have gone down from there. It does have enough going for it to keep me entertained and I'll be looking forward to seeing where it can go from here.
But mainly thanks for the amazing covers. You are a legend.
