Impressive work on the Superman artworks. You've mad a lot out of these old images!
Your title treatment also looks fantastic on every single cover. :)

Outstanding collection and I admire your passion to continue this one cover by cover by cover.

Kernie's Weekly Cover Update #12: Arrow: Season 8 plus revised Seasons 1-7!
[Click image to view in gallery]

So here's why I am not a gambling man...

Back in 2012, when Arrow first aired it's series premiere, I watched it and I wasn't terribly impressed. It was a lot of things at once... trying to do gritty, street-level action like The Dark Knight, trying to be a CW romance (between Oliver/Laurel/Tommy), trying to do Lost-style flashbacks, and trying to be some sort of corporate family drama (with all the Queen family scandals). I'll be honest, I expected it to last one season... maybe two at the most. So, I didn't put a lot of effort into my cover for Season 1... using just the standard title treatment, retail keyart, etc.

And then... Arrow became a big hit primarily in its much-improved second season. It introduced Grant Gustin as Barry Allen and spun-off into The Flash. Then came Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, and eventually even retconned Black Lightning, Lucifer, and Constantine (among others) into its multiverse.

So, as Arrow came to a close with the recent eighth and final season (and since I have a lot more time on my hands during quarantine), I decided that the show that started the CW Arrowverse deserved a little more than my indifferent template from back in 2012.

At this point, I like to make my covers as custom as possible. I created a brand-new 3D Title Treatment and 3D logo, along with custom keyart for Seasons 1 & 2 (which were previously just a copy/paste of the retail art). The remaining seasons got a few minor tweaks and adjustments to their keyart, and the template itself got a new, brighter color scheme. One of the main things I'm also trying to revise across a lot of my old covers is the color behind the Episode List/Special Features. On some old covers, I made it too darn dark, to the point where it's tough to read the black text on top of it. Some changes are being made for contrast purposes. I hope everyone likes the changes and considers them an improvement (and my apologies for causing some people to do some reprinting).

I plan to make similar adjustments to the other three major Arrowverse series (Flash, Legends, Supergirl, maybe even Constantine) as I upload their recent seasons. With these revisions, you'll find that I'm making the templates for all of the shows more consistent with one another. I'm also doing some things behind-the-scenes within the PSD files that will make adding new seasons much easier for myself.

With all that out of the way, here are this week's covers!

Somebody gave me some grief last year when I excluded Mia Smoak (Katherine McNamara) from the Season 7 cover. I was behind on watching the show so I didn't realize the significance of the character or the stunning human specimen that is Katherine McNamara, so I fixed that oversight on the Season 8 keyart and put her on the spine as well!
