Kernie not winning top prize?
This just goes to show what an amazing community HiRes is for developing and helping designers excel in this wonderful hobbie of ours. God only knows how many excellent designers are frequenting this site! The competition for the top spots in these competitions is ridiculous!
I know from past experience how much time and love designers sometimes put into their creations, and rank results not always reflect this. Likewise resources differ much in terms of movie titles, and it is hard for the casual voter to get a mere grasp of how complex designing a cover with an overall appeal, color consistency, lighting and whatnot, with meagre resources can be. Nevertheless the designers at HiRes never cease to astonish us all!
A heartfelt congratulations To Fidi for snatching 1st place - and to a Andrew for inspiring so many, many people to grow! Well done to the both of you!

Thank you to all who voted for my label... this was truly a surprise. I would have assumed that Fidi's outstanding Valerian cover and label were going to sweep both contests.
Another year of incredible designs from all HiRes artists... I'm looking forward to seeing what's to come in 2020!
