skystar contributor request
Another note, they sell counterfeit movies. I am sure we have many members that do this, but it isn't something I like to encourage. Also, it means they are not here for the hobby, and are normally just here to take as much as they can.
Having said that, if we do not have any current rules to stop this member becoming a contributor, then we cannot say no. We can however update the rules appropriately to give us more control over current contributors.

So, this guy is uploading a combination of work that isn't his and barely-usable low-effort work that might be his, plus he's a known bootlegger, but he's still rolling along to Contributor status?
The only glaringly unusable cover is probably American Crime Story - Season 1, so he still has the numbers.
QUOTE • Images being considered for contributor status, must be your own work
Can we ask him to prove that he did the scans, or contend that using Blu-ray.com pieces doesn't qualify as "own work?"
QUOTE • Minimalist covers or labels will NOT be considered for Contributor status. This decision is at the admins discretion, on what qualifies as minimalist.
Can we qualify Blu-ray.com builds as minimalist?

I also agree with Tim about the Blu-ray.com “scansâ€.
A google search on his email/username comes up with a lot of bootleg links.
haha, Tim, I am leaving you to handle this one as you are doing such an amazing job
Using bluray.com images isn't strictly against the rules. However your second point of minimalist work is a very good point. Pasting a couple of images together does fall under this.

I have to agree as well because these aren’t going to be the best quality, especially if Blu-ray.com compress the images on upload or before upload.ctaulbee wrote:QUOTE (ctaulbee @ Oct 8 2019, 11:55 PM) It should be![]()
Some of the Blu-ray.com “scans†uploaded in the past, I have rejected due to poor quality.

Yup got a couple more folks here who do that too, they don't even scale them correctly, they just stretch them in whatever direction is needed which distorts the whole thing.
